如果你是21岁,你是一个健康活泼有着美好前途的人,在大学里开心地学习和生活。但是你能够想象出你突然间就远离了美丽的校园亲爱的同学以及朝气蓬勃的校园生活而不得不面对残酷的疾病的情景吗?或许有些人因此对前途丧失了信心,整天忧郁苦闷甚至自杀,成了一个真正的废物。但是我们伟大的英国科学家在突遭命途的多舛之后,不但不由此泄气消沉掉,相反他更加努力地学习和工作,成就了他现在的科学成绩,为人类科学的发展带来了很多希望。
尽管患上了肌萎缩性侧索硬化症的霍金行动不便不得不坐上轮椅,但是他还是很努力了考取了学位。而且,他并不因为他的疾病而停止了对美好生活的热爱和对科学事业的追求。霍金的简介霍金的简介他致力于对宇宙的研究并且到全世界各国进行演讲。在2002年,霍金来到中国,他告诉中国的大学生,关于时间与宇宙起源的问题,还有黑洞到底是什么东西。
霍金真正出名的时间是20世纪70年代,当时他与他的美国伙伴提出了大爆炸宇宙学及黑洞的理论学说。1988年他写了一本书叫《时间的简史》,这本书是一本很受欢迎的畅销书,读者从中可惊讶于他的表达方式是如此的通俗易懂。在这本书里面,霍金给读者解释了科学是怎么一回事,科学的发现对于人类起什么作用而这些作用对于世界的改变有多大的意义。霍金还告诉读者,科学的研究工作是永无止境的,现在看起来是最好的科学理论,可能到以后是被证明是错误的。

Having ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Hawking has to “walk” in his wheelchair, but he got his PhD. He wants to have a happy life and want to devotes himeself to his scitific research. He continue his exploration of the universe and travelled around the world to give lectures. In 2002, Hawking visited China and spoke to university students in China. He told the students about his theories and thoughts on some of the greatest questions: What is time, how did the universe begin, and what exactly are black holes?Hawking became famous in the early 1970s, when he and his American friend made new
discoveries about the Big Bang an black holes. In 1988, he wrote A Brief History of
Time, which quickly became a best-seller. Readers are pleased and surprised to find
that a scientist could write about his work in a way that ordinary people could
understand.
In the book, Hawking explains both what it means to be a scientist and how science
works. He tells the readers how the discoveries work and how they change the world.
He says sicence work is never finished, and even the best theory can turn out to be wrong.
