Review of The NotebookThe book is a moving love story,more exactly,like a fairy tale.
With a worn notebook in his hand,an old man offered to read to an elderly lady about a story between two young lovers,Allie and Noah.Allie is a pretty girl from a well-off family,but Noah is only a country boy,working as a carpenter and earning a little.However,they fell in love with each other at the first sight and spent a very sweet summer together.Because the disapproval of Allie’s family,they had to peak up.Having been separated for 14 years,Allie was already engaged.After seeing Noah’s photo in the newspaper,Allie decided to back to Seapook to visit Noah.On meeting him,Allie were aware that she was still additicted to Noah and their loveShe had to make a choice between Noah and her fiancé.Eventually,Allie chose Noah,her first love.Meanwhile it is revealed that Noah is the old man and that Allie is the elderly woman.Allie had developed dementia,Noah read to her ,just hoping that one day Allie could remember.Finally,they died ,hugging together.
Love is everything and can be everything is what the book has taught me.
The story reminds me of my first love。Similar to Allie and Noah,we met each other in our seventeenth summer。He is tall and handsome。I am just a common girl,not very pretty,not having a great shape。But we fell in love,also at the first sight。Then,we becomed closer:we went to school together,had lunch together,did homework together…almost always together。We promised to enter the same university。Like Allie and Noah,’Everytime we (they) had a fight,we(they)could just forget it and get back to their furious love again after that。
’At that time,I thought he was my chosen one,and had a strong faith that we would marry to each other later。However,god played jokes on us。After graduation from senior high school,our love came to an end。His parents met me and blamed their son’s failure in the College entrance examination on me。恋恋笔记本观后感We were forced to leave each other。Because of it,we had an intense quarrel,from which I knew that he was going apoad as his parents planned。Then we poke up。I was depressed,thinking he loved me not enough。
Recently I found I was wrong。He left me because he didn’t want his parents to bother me any more。He hoped that I could have a peaceful new life in university。He went studying apoad in order to give me a promising future。From him,I know that love is giving and that love is hoping your lover happy。
It was love that made Noah build their dream house.It was love that made Allie give up her abundant life.It was love that made my ex-boyfriend leave me.
The words in the book is so beautiful.Especially this one describes what love is,’They are shoot stars,a spectacular moment of in the heavens,a fleeting glimpse of eternity,And in flash,they are gone.’Words are so beautiful that I am totally absorbed in the tender love.And that’s also why I am willing to share my love.
When he was young,Noah said to Allie,’If you are a bird,I am a bird.’
When he became older,Noah said to their children,’Your mother is my home!’ Love ,just because of love.
